Copra
Copra is essentially the dried white flesh of a mature coconut (typically harvested 10 to 12 months after flowering). The drying process transforms the fresh meat into a stable, durable commodity that can be stored and transported efficiently worldwide.
Our focus is on delivering high-quality copra characterized by:
High Oil Content: The primary value of copra lies in its oil. Our mature copra typically yields a high percentage of crude coconut oil (CNO) upon extraction.
Optimal Moisture Levels: We ensure strict quality control during drying to bring moisture content down to specific levels (usually below 6%). This stability is crucial for preventing mold growth, preserving quality, and ensuring a long shelf life.
Purity: We provide clean copra, free from foreign matter, shell pieces, or mold, which is essential for efficient processing at your facility.
Copra is the foundational ingredient for major industrial applications:
Crude Coconut Oil (CNO) Production: This is the main application. The oil extracted from copra is further refined into Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized (RBD) Coconut Oil, which is used in cooking oils, margarine, confectioneries, cosmetics, soaps, and even biofuels.
Copra Meal/Cake: After the oil extraction process, the residual solid material is a valuable byproduct known as copra meal or cake. This is a high-protein feed ingredient highly sought after in the livestock industry.
